This blog came ab</span><span style="font-family:times new roman;">out to preserve photos taken those many years ago in England, during a chaotic time in Europe and the rest of the world.<br /></span><br /><span style="font-family:times new roman;">A collection of photos has been preserved, all taken by Marcel D. Baillargeon of Tecumseh Ontario in Canada. He was a member of Squadron 425, the Alouette Squadron. Marcel passed away in May of 2000 in Tecumseh of natural causes. What follows is the reproduction of his photos of that period in his life, living in the tumultuous times in England, at an airbase used for sorties to the continent to bomb German cities. Halifaxes and Lancasters departed the airfield in great numbers for their bombing runs, many of his friends and acquaintances never returning.</span><br /><span style="font-family:times new roman;"><br />This is his story, with comments by myself, Robert M. </span><span style="font-family:times new roman;">Baillargeon, his son.
